Crockpot Cherry Cola Chicken Drumsticks

- 2½ pounds chicken drumsticks
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 cup cherry cola
- ¾ cup barbecue sauce
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
Season the drumsticks with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the drumsticks until lightly browned on all sides.
Transfer the drumsticks to the slow cooker.
In a bowl, whisk together the cherry cola, barbecue sauce, minced garlic, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and cornstarch until well combined.
Pour the sauce over the chicken drumsticks.
Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours, until the chicken is very tender.
During the last 30 minutes of cooking, remove the lid to allow the sauce to thicken slightly.
