Crockpot Tater Tot Casserole
This crockpot tater tot casserole is a tried-and-true classic for a reason. With just a handful of simple ingredients, it layers seasoned beef, melty cheese, and crispy tater tots into an easy, hands-off dinner that’s perfect for busy nights, potlucks, or feeding a hungry family!

- 32 ounces frozen tater tots
- 1 pound ground beef browned and drained
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
- 10.5 ounces cheese sauce
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
- ½ tablespoon minced onion
- Freshly chopped cilantro optional garnish
Lightly spray the inside of the crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
Add about half of the tater tots to the bottom of the crockpot and spread them into an even layer.
In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef, cheese sauce, taco seasoning, onion, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined.
Spoon the beef mixture over the tater tots in the crockpot and spread it evenly.
Top with the remaining tater tots, arranging them into a single layer.
Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
Cover and cook on HIGH for 2½ hours. Serve warm and enjoy.
