Servings: 1
- 1 slice white bread
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Sesame seeds for topping
- Syrup for serving
Pop a slice of white bread into your air fryer basket—no need to pre-toast.
Use the back of a spoon to gently press down the center of the bread, creating a little well for the egg to sit in.
Brush or drizzle a bit of olive oil over the surface of the bread, especially the edges. It helps things crisp up nicely.
Carefully crack an egg into that well. Go slow here—it’s a little delicate, but totally doable.
Sprinkle a generous handful of shredded mozzarella over the top. Don’t worry if some lands on the edges—it just makes it extra tasty.
Air fry at 175°C (or 350°F) for around 7 minutes. Start checking at the 5-minute mark. Want a runny yolk? Pull it at 7. Prefer it more set? Let it go up to 10 minutes.
Once it’s done, sprinkle over some sesame seeds and a pinch of salt for a little crunch and flavor boost.
Serve it warm and don’t be shy about adding a little drizzle of maple syrup or honey on the side—it hits that sweet and savory combo just right.
