For the peaches:

  • Fresh peach slices (peeled): Fresh is best here! Ripe, juicy peaches give the cobbler that classic, summery flavor. Frozen can work in a pinch—just thaw and drain first.

  • Granulated sugar: Helps sweeten the peaches and draw out their juices to create that syrupy base.

  • Brown sugar: Adds depth and a hint of molasses that pairs so nicely with the peaches.

  • Pinch of salt: A small but important touch—it balances out the sweetness and brings out the fruit flavor.

For the dough:

  • Unsalted butter, melted: This forms the buttery base layer—pour it right into the baking dish for that golden, crisp edge.

  • All-purpose flour: Gives the cobbler its soft, cakey structure.

  • Granulated sugar: Sweetens the batter and gives it that classic cobbler flavor.

  • Baking powder: The leavening that helps the cobbler rise and get that light, fluffy texture.

  • Salt: Just a bit to balance all the sweetness.

  • Milk: Adds moisture and helps bring the batter together—whole milk works great, but any milk you have will do.

Topping:

  • Brown sugar: Sprinkled over the top before baking for a caramelized finish.

  • Cinnamon: Gives the whole dish that warm, cozy vibe—especially perfect for fall.

How To Make Peach Cobbler

  • Spray a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick spray and get your oven preheating to 350°F.
  • Start with the peaches: In a medium saucepan, combine the sliced peaches with the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Let that cook over medium heat for about 3–4 minutes, just until the sugar melts down and everything’s warm and juicy.

  • Pour the melted butter straight into the bottom of your prepared baking dish—no need to stir it in.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth. Pour that right into the pan over the butter. Again, don’t stir.

Serving Ideas

  • Classic vanilla ice cream is my favorite pairing—nothing beats warm peach cobbler and a cold scoop melting into all those syrupy, golden bites.

  • Whipped cream is a great option if you want something lighter. Try a cinnamon or maple-flavored version for a fall twist.

  • A drizzle of caramel sauce over the top takes it into full-on dessert mode. Think gooey, warm, and totally decadent.

  • Yogurt or crème fraîche makes a fun brunch-style spin—perfect if you’re serving it in the morning or want to keep things a little less sweet.

  • Chopped pecans or walnuts sprinkled on top can add a nice crunch and a nutty contrast to the soft peaches and fluffy cobbler base.

  • Serve with hot apple cider or a warm chai latte to lean into all those cozy autumn vibes.

  • For a fun fall dessert board, pair mini portions of the cobbler with other seasonal treats like pumpkin cookies or caramel apples.
