Variations – Make These Cookie Balls Your Own!

These oatmeal balls are super flexible and easy to customize. Here are some tasty ways to switch things up:

1. Swap the Nut Butter

  • Use almond butter or cashew butter for a slightly different flavor.
  • For a more indulgent twist, try chocolate hazelnut spread (hello, dessert vibes!).

2. Add Some Texture

  • Stir in chopped nuts like walnuts, pecans, or almonds for crunch.
  • Add unsweetened shredded coconut for a chewy, tropical feel.
  • Mix in chia seeds or flaxseeds for an extra nutrient boost.

3. Switch Up the Chocolate

  • Use white chocolate chips, dark chocolate chunks, or even cacao nibs.

4. Make Them Fruity

  • Fold in dried fruit like cranberries, raisins, or chopped dates.
  • Add a spoonful of applesauce or a few blueberries for a fruity twist (but reduce the banana slightly so they hold together).

5. Add Spice or Flavor

  • Sprinkle in a little cinnamon, nutmeg, or pumpkin spice for cozy vibes.
  • A splash of vanilla extract or a pinch of sea salt takes the flavor up a notch.
