No Bake Christmas Tree Cake Cheesecake

This might just be the most fun and wonderfully nostalgic dessert that you’ll make this festive season! I wanted to create something for you that’s easy to prep and wow-worthy for all the special occasions, and I decided to take things a little over the top with this one, in the best way possible.

A buttery graham cracker crust holds a layer of creamy, fluffy cheesecake with Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes layered right in the center for a festive surprise. The whole thing is finished with a silky white chocolate ganache, a drizzle of red icing, and a sprinkle of green sugar.

If you love a no bake dessert, I think you’ll also enjoy my Christmas red velvet cheesecake, peppermint Oreo cheesecake, peppermint hot chocolate cheesecake, and Biscoff cookie butter cheesecake

How To Make Your Christmas Tree Cake Cheesecake

  • In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Stir until evenly coated, then press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Pop it in the fridge to chill while you make the filling.

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture until light and fluffy.
  • Spread half of the cheesecake mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
  • Arrange the Christmas Tree Cakes in a single layer across the top, pressing them gently into the filling.

  • Spread the remaining cheesecake mixture over the top, smoothing it out with a spatula.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours (or overnight) until fully set and firm.

  • When ready to decorate, heat the heavy cream in the microwave until just steaming. Pour it over the chopped white chocolate and let it sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth and glossy. Allow to cool slightly.

Storage

Cover any leftovers tightly and refrigerate for up to 4 days. The cheesecake stays perfectly creamy and the flavors even get better as it chills!

Recipe Notes

  • Make sure your cream cheese is softened before mixing, as cold cream cheese can leave lumps that are hard to smooth out.

  • Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form before folding it in. That’s what gives the cheesecake its light, airy texture.

  • When adding the Christmas Tree Cakes, press them down gently into the filling so they stay in place when slicing.

  • Let the cheesecake chill for at least 6 hours (overnight is best!) to make sure it sets properly before adding the ganache.

  • For the ganache, don’t overheat the cream. It should be steaming but not boiling. Boiling cream can cause the chocolate to seize.

  • To get those clean slices, wipe your knife between cuts with a warm, damp towel.

  • If you can’t find Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes, swap in another holiday snack cake. It’ll still be delicious and festive!

Substitutions & Variations

You can easily switch up this cheesecake to fit your taste or whatever you have on hand. Like I’ve mentioned above, if you can’t find Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes, any similar snack cake will work — Zebra Cakes or holiday-themed mini cakes make a great stand-in.

For a flavor twist, try using Golden Oreos or vanilla wafers instead of graham crackers for the crust. You can even add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the crumbs for a subtle holiday spice.

If you prefer a darker, richer topping, swap the white chocolate for semi-sweet or milk chocolate ganache. It won’t look as “snowy”, but it’s equally delicious. You could also drizzle green icing and sprinkle red sanding sugar instead for a fun color flip.

And for a little extra sparkle, top the finished cheesecake with whipped cream swirls, mini candy canes, or edible glitter.

Serving Ideas

This cheesecake is one to see you right through the holidays! It’s perfect as the grand finale for Christmas dinner, or as the star of a holiday dessert board alongside cookies, fudge, and any other festive treats. Slice it into smaller squares if you’re serving a crowd or need something easy to grab at a Christmas party.

If you want to go all-out (which I often do!), top each slice with a little whipped cream and extra sprinkles for that over-the-top Christmas magic.
