Cozy Fall Bucket List Printable for 2025!
Hello, fall! I hope that you’ve been loving all the seasonal recipes that I’ve been sharing lately, like my fall crockpot dinner ideas, cookie butter cheesecake, and apple cider jello shots.
I swear that every year I start to look forward to the autumn months even sooner, and I just can’t wait to get out my diary and start planning all the cozy things I want to do to celebrate the season. And that’s why I’ve created this cozy fall bucket list!
It’s a cute printable (it’s totally free) that’s full of simple, meaningful things to do this season. Most of them are beautifully low-effort (think watching a fall movie, making a warming drink, or lighting a candle on a rainy evening). They don’t require elaborate planning or a packed schedule. Just a little intention and a willingness to soak up the magic of this in-between season. As regular readers will guess, some of them have a foodie theme, but there’s lots of other ideas to explore too.
So pour yourself something warm, grab your favorite pen, and print out the list. Pin it on your fridge, stick it into your journal, or keep it somewhere you’ll see it often. Let it be your gentle guide to a fall full of cozy memories!
If you want to just grab it and run, you’ll find the instructions for downloading and printing towards the bottom of this post. In the following sections, I’ll be explaining more about how to make the most of your bucket list!
What’s On The Cozy Fall Bucket List?
Lots of the ideas on this list are wonderfully self-explanatory, and that’s part of the beauty of it. They don’t require hours of planning, fancy supplies, or a Pinterest-perfect setup. Most of them are things you can do on a slow Saturday or squeeze into a cozy evening at home. Simple moments that bring a little more joy, connection, and seasonal magic into everyday life!
That said, sometimes a little extra inspiration can help bring even the simplest ideas to life. So I’m going to expand on a few of the items from the list, just enough to spark your imagination and help you make the most of the season.
- Have A Fall Picnic
Just because summer’s over doesn’t mean picnic season has to be! In fact, fall might just be the best time to picnic—no bugs, no scorching sun, and a whole lot more cozy vibes. Pack a few blankets, layer up in your comfiest sweater, and head to the backyard, a local park, or even your living room floor (indoor picnics totally count).
Fall-Inspired Foods to Pack:
Think warm, hearty, and seasonal:
-
Apple slices + peanut butter or caramel dip
-
Sweet potato brownies or scones
-
Sharp cheddar + crackers with fig or apple butter
-
Turkey + cranberry wraps or sandwiches
-
Roasted veggie hand pies or empanadas (easy to eat with your hands!)
Cozy Drinks to Bring Along:
Keep a thermos handy for:
-
Hot apple cider (spiked or not—your call!)
-
Pumpkin spice hot chocolate
-
Chai tea lattes (you can use my homemade chai spice mix to make your own!)
-
Warm mulled wine (for the grown-ups)
Cozy Picnic Set-Up Tips:
-
Blanket layering: Use one for the ground and one for snuggling. Bonus points for plaid.
-
Bring pillows or seat cushions if the ground is cold or damp.
-
Pack fairy lights or battery-powered candles if you’re going out in the evening.
-
Add a small basket of apples, leaves, or mini pumpkins to make it feel festive—even if it’s just for fun.
You don’t need much to make it special—just some seasonal snacks, your favorite people, and a little fresh air.
- Try Fall Journaling
Fall has a way of making us slow down and turn inward. The shifting light, the crisp air, the sense of transition—it’s the perfect season to cozy up with a notebook and do a little journaling.
And no, it doesn’t have to be pages of poetic reflections (unless that’s your thing!). Fall journaling can be as simple or as deep as you want. It’s really just about pausing to check in with yourself, notice what’s around you, and maybe even capture a few moments of seasonal magic before they pass by.
Fall Journaling Prompts to Try:
-
What are three things I love most about fall?
-
What does “cozy” look like to me right now?
-
Describe a favorite fall memory from childhood.
-
What’s one thing I want to let go of this season?
-
How can I create more space for rest this fall?
-
Make a list of small fall joys—crunchy leaves, flannel pajamas, chai lattes…
You can use a journal, a notes app, or even sticky notes on your mirror. There’s no “right” way—just the act of slowing down, noticing, and being present.
- Visit A Farmers Market
There’s something deeply grounding about wandering through a farmers market on a cool fall morning, warm drink in hand, baskets of apples and squash everywhere, and the scent of fresh bread or cider donuts in the air. It’s one of the easiest (and most enjoyable) ways to soak up the season and support your local growers.
What to Look For in Fall:
Fall markets are bursting with cozy ingredients ready to inspire your next meal or baking session. Keep an eye out for:
-
Apples (so many varieties, ask the vendor what they recommend!)
-
Pears
-
Pumpkins & winter squash (butternut, acorn, kabocha)
-
Sweet potatoes
-
Kale, chard, and other leafy greens
-
Beets, carrots, and turnips
-
Fresh herbs like sage and thyme
And don’t forget baked goods, homemade jams, or small-batch apple cider. Perfect for enjoying on the way home.
Use-It-Up Tips:
To avoid your haul turning into forgotten fridge art, make a loose plan:
-
Choose 1 or 2 recipes you want to make that week (like roasted veggie bowls or an apple crisp).
-
Prep hardy produce (like squash or root veggies) in advance—roast or chop them right away so they’re ready to go.
-
Keep a visible list on your fridge or counter of what you bought and ideas to use it.
Visiting the farmers market isn’t just about shopping, it’s about reconnecting with the rhythms of the season and bringing a little more intention (and deliciousness) into your week.
How to Use Your Fall Bucket List
So you’ve got your fall bucket list—now what? Here’s how to make the most of it:
1. Download the PDF
Click the link above to open the printable in a new tab. Once it loads, either:
-
Click the download icon (usually in the top-right corner), or
-
Right-click and select “Save As” to save it to your device.
2. Print it at home
Use regular printer paper or cardstock for a sturdier feel. For best results, print at 100% scale (not “fit to page”) so it looks just like the preview.
3. Put it somewhere fun
Hang it on your fridge, tape it to a bulletin board, tuck it into your planner, or keep it on the kitchen counter—anywhere it’ll inspire you to check off those cozy fall activities.
4. Get the whole family involved
Let each person pick a favorite activity to start with, or turn it into a game: how many can you complete before the first frost? Or if you have loved ones living further away who you don’t get the chance to see all the time, you could send them their own copy and you could have regular check-ins about what you’ve been up to and which ones you’ve ticked off.
5. Don’t stress—just enjoy!
This list isn’t about doing it all. It’s about slowing down, savoring the season, and making fun little memories along the way.
