Fall Self Care Bucket List Printable for 2025

The start of a new season is the perfect time to refocus and think a little about the kind of experiences you want to create in your life and the habits you want to lean in to, and I’ve created this fall self care printable to help you to do exactly that!

You might have already seen my cozy fall activities bucket list and my fall foodie bucket list. This one right here is all about self care. It’s a free printable filled with simple, seasonal ideas to help you take better care of yourself this autumn.

Some are small moments you can squeeze into a busy day—like lighting a candle or making a cozy drink—while others are more intentional practices, like journaling or starting a new hobby. You don’t need to do them all, and there’s no pressure to complete the whole list. Just pick the ones that resonate, and make them your own!

The goal is to give you a gentle reminder that you deserve care too, and that self care doesn’t have to be elaborate, expensive, or time-consuming to matter.

You’ll find the free printable at the end of this post, along with clear instructions on how to download and use it!

What’s On The Fall Self Care Bucket List?

The ideas I’ve included here aren’t meant to be prescriptive. You can take all of them and put your own spin on them based on the kind of activities you love and what brings you the most joy. Use them as starting points to get a little creative.

If you do need a bit more inspiration though, here are some ideas you might want to explore further…

  • Start a Gratitude Journal

A gratitude journal is exactly what it sounds like—a simple, consistent practice of writing down the things you’re thankful for. It’s one of those small habits that can have a surprisingly big impact, and I know that I always feel much calmer and grounded when I commit to this.

Taking just a few minutes a day to reflect on what’s going well (even when life feels crazy busy) can help shift your perspective, ease anxiety, and boost your overall sense of contentment.

Getting Started:

You don’t need a fancy notebook or a rigid routine. Just a few minutes and a pen. Try:

  • Keeping your journal by your bed and jotting down 3 things you’re grateful for each night.

  • Writing once a week with a warm drink in hand and some cozy music playing.

  • Using your planner or a notes app if that feels more doable.

Not sure what to write? Start with these prompts:

  • Today, I’m thankful for…

  • Something small that made me smile this week…

  • A person I’m grateful to have in my life is…

  • Right now, I feel lucky to…

  • One thing I often take for granted is…

It doesn’t have to be deep or profound. Just be honest and see where it takes you!

  • Find a New Hobby

Fall is a natural time to settle in and start something new. The busy pace of summer slows, the weather invites more time indoors, and suddenly those quiet evenings and slower weekends become the perfect space to try your hand at a new hobby.

And no, it doesn’t have to be “productive” or perfectly Pinterest-worthy! The goal here is simple: enjoy yourself, explore something creative or calming, and maybe even surprise yourself with how much joy a small, cozy activity can bring.

Cozy Hobby Ideas to Try This Fall:

  • Knitting or crocheting – even if it’s just one chunky scarf (this is something that I personally want to do this fall, and I’ve just treated myself to some chunky wool in fall colors to get started!)

  • Baking – experiment with fall flavors like pumpkin, cinnamon, and maple. I recommend trying my spiced apple cider baked donuts or my pumpkin delight cookies!

  • Watercolor painting or nature sketching – especially using autumn leaves for inspiration

  • Journaling or creative writing – light a candle, make some tea, and write for the joy of it

  • Puzzle solving – crosswords, jigsaws, Sudoku—something to ease your mind into focus

  • Herbal tea blending – experiment with dried herbs and create your own seasonal tea mix

  • Candle-making or soap-making – fun, creative, and doubles as handmade gifts later on

  • Photography walks – capture the changing colors in your neighborhood or local parks

Choose a couple if you’re not sure which ones you like the most, and then lean into whatever brings you the most joy.

  • Decorate Your Space for Fall

There’s something about a freshly lit candle, a cozy throw blanket, and a few warm tones around the house that makes everything feel a little calmer!

Fall decorating doesn’t have to mean buying bins of themed decor or overhauling your whole space—it’s more about creating a cozy, comforting atmosphere that invites you to slow down and settle in.

It can be as simple as swapping out a pillow cover, adding a few seasonal touches to your kitchen, or bringing in natural textures and colors that reflect what’s happening outside.

Practical (and Budget-Friendly) Fall Decor Ideas:

  • Forage first – collect fallen leaves, acorns, pinecones, or branches to display in a vase or bowl

  • Swap textiles – bring out your coziest throws and add a flannel or knit pillow cover or two

  • Use what you already have – layer warm-toned dishes, candles, or books to create seasonal vignettes

  • Decorate with food – bowls of apples or mini pumpkins make the perfect natural centerpiece

  • Add warm lighting – twinkle lights, lanterns, or a salt lamp can instantly shift the mood

  • Change your scents – light a fall-scented candle or simmer cinnamon sticks and orange slices on the stove

It doesn’t take much to make your space feel like a fall retreat. Just a few touches here and there can make a big difference.
