Shrimp Tostadas

For those evenings when you’re in the mood for something fresh, bold, and ridiculously satisfying, these shrimp tostadas deliver every time! They’ve got the perfect balance of crunch, creaminess, and spice, all piled onto a crispy tostada shell and crammed with beautiful Mexican inspired flavors.

It starts with juicy, pan-seared shrimp, tossed in a homemade spice blend that brings just the right amount of heat and smoky depth. From there, it’s all about the layering: a creamy avocado base, plump, perfectly seasoned shrimp, and a fresh mix of tomato, cilantro, red onion, and jalapeño. A dollop of sour cream and a squeeze of lime ties everything together, making every bite the perfect mix of zest, crunch, and cream.

And the best part? They come together fast. No complicated steps, no deep frying—just a skillet, a few fresh ingredients, and a tostada shell ready to carry all that flavor. They’re ready to serve in less than half an hour, and I love the easy process of making them – perhaps with a beer or a margarita in hand! – after a long, busy day when I need something super simple. Whether you’re making them for a casual dinner, a weekend get-together, or just because tostadas > tacos sometimes, this recipe is one to keep on repeat.
