Slimming World friendly tomato soup recipe, that tastes just like Heinz!

At any given time, I’ve usually got a big container of soup ready in the fridge that can be heated up to make a slimming lunch or snack.

It’s a great way to get in some extra servings of vegetables, and it’s a quick and easy option to take into work, too.

This recipe here was passed on to me by a lady called Jules who I met at my Slimming World group, and I’ve made a couple of tweaks to the ingredients to make use of the ingredients that I usually have in the kitchen cupboards.

There are various different versions of this soup that you might have heard about on your slimming journey, and some of them include a tin of carrots. I personally don’t use these, but by all means, do a little bit of experimentation and see what you like the best.

Let’s get down to it…

How many calories are in this Slimming World tomato soup recipe?

There’s approximately 132 calories in one serving of this tomato soup recipe.

To give you a little context around what this really means, the average man needs 2,500 calories per day to maintain a healthy weight, whereas the average woman needs 2,000.

So as you can see from a few quick calculations, this soup is a great option if you’re trying to cut down your calorie count or make your daily allowance go much further.

How many Syns are in this recipe?

Syns are trademarked by Slimming World, and values are only available to paying members.

As such, I’ve made the decision to remove Syn values from my recipes.

A fun idea for making this soup at Halloween

Spooky season is definitely soup season in my eyes, and I love making something a little bit special to celebrate Halloween.

To make a ‘spider web’ in your soup, simply put some low fat natural yoghurt (or single cream, if you’re feeling indulgent) into a piping bag and pipe a swirl over the top of the soup.

You need to work quickly here to keep it as neat as possible, and avoid any drips!

Then, start at the centre of the soup and use a skewer or a cocktail stick to create the web by lighting skimming out to the edge of the bowl.

Spider decorations are optional, but cute!
