Air Fryer Hot Honey Salmon Bites
Today I’m sharing my latest air fryer recipe — hot honey salmon bites! Hot honey is super on trend right now and I’ve become obsessed with drizzling it over pizza and adding it to salad dressings, and it was time to come up with some delicious new ways to get my sweet and spicy fix. That’s how this recipe came to life, and it’s great for dinner, served as as an appetizer for entertaining, or for a meal-prep friendly lunch.
Bite-sized pieces of salmon are tossed with oil, lemon, and seasoning, then crisped up in the air fryer until golden on the edges. A drizzle of hot honey at the end brings just the right amount of heat and sweetness to tie everything together. Best of all, they’re ready in less than 20 minutes! No fussing or faffing around here.

-
Salmon fillets, skin removed: Fresh or thawed works great here. Just make sure the skin is off so you get even browning and easy bites.
-
Olive oil or avocado oil: Either one works — it helps the salmon crisp up nicely in the air fryer and carries the seasoning.
-
Salt and pepper: Keep it simple — just enough to bring out the flavor of the salmon before the hot honey goes on.
-
Hot honey: This is where the flavor magic happens. Start with 3 tablespoons and drizzle more if you want extra heat and sweetness.
-
Lemon juice: A little acidity brightens everything up and balances the heat. You can squeeze more over the top if you like it zesty.

How To Make Air Fryer Hot Honey Salmon Bites
-
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F, if required for your model.
-
Cut the salmon into bite-sized cubes, about 1 inch each, and place them in a bowl.

-
Add the olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together until the salmon is nicely coated.

-
Arrange the salmon pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket — no stacking. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping them halfway through so they crisp up evenly.

-
Once cooked, drizzle with hot honey while they’re still warm. Garnish with fresh parsley and a few lemon wedges if you’d like, then serve right away.

Recipe Notes & Tips
Cut your salmon into evenly sized cubes so everything cooks at the same speed. If the pieces are too small, they’ll dry out quickly — 1-inch bites are the sweet spot.
Hot honey comes in different spice levels depending on the brand, so start with less if you’re unsure and add more once the salmon is cooked. You can even make your own by warming honey with a pinch of red pepper flakes if you don’t have a bottle on hand.
No need to marinate the salmon — the air fryer gives you crisp edges and juicy bites without any extra wait time.

Serving Ideas
These hot honey salmon bites are super versatile! Serve them straight from the air fryer for a quick weeknight dinner, or dress them up a bit for entertaining. They’re great over rice bowls, tucked into tacos with a little slaw, or piled on top of a salad for a protein-packed twist. You can even serve them with toothpicks and dipping sauce as a fun party appetizer. Pair with roasted veggies, steamed greens, or anything that balances that sweet-and-spicy kick.
