There are approximately 75 calories in one of these deviled Easter egg chicks.

For the average woman, it’s around 2,000 calories a day.

Deviled Easter Egg Chicks

These Easter egg chicks are a great project to make with kids over the Easter holidays!

Servings: 2 people
Calories: 75kcal

Ingredients

  • 2 medium sized eggs
  • 2 tsp light mayonnaise
  • 1 pinch paprika
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 4 black peppercorns
  • 1 small piece carrot

Instructions

  • Bring a pan of water to the boil and add the eggs. Boil for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and submerge in cold water.
  • Allow the eggs to cool completely, and then peel. Slice off the top third of the egg.
  • Carefully remove the yolk from the eggs and add to a bowl. Add the mayonnaise, paprika, ground pepper, and salt, and mash with a fork.
  • Using a spoon, gently add the yolk mixture back into the eggs and place the top back on, to create your chicks.
  • Add the peppercorns to make eyes, and cut carrot into small triangles and add to make the nose.
  • Serve and enjoy - make sure that you remove the peppercorns before eating!
